Who we are

Resale Tools (“we”, “us”) runs the website at resaletools.co.uk. For privacy questions, contact hello@resaletools.co.uk.

What we collect and why

The calculators and quizzes run in your browser. You don’t need an account and we don’t ask for your name, email or address.

When you use a tool, we log a small anonymous record so we can see which tools are worth improving. This includes:

• The platform you selected (e.g. Vinted, eBay, Depop)
• Which quiz or estimator you completed and its outcome
• The timestamp of the event

We do not log the numbers you type into the calculators, your IP address, or any identifier that would let us link two visits to the same person. Legal basis: legitimate interests (understanding which free tools are used, to improve them).

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing non-essential to consent to.

Our database client (Supabase) may write a small key to your browser’s local storage as part of how the library initialises. It is not used to identify you and is treated as strictly necessary. You can clear it any time in your browser settings.

Third-party processors

• Supabase — stores the anonymous usage records described above.
• Lovable — hosts the website and serves it via a CDN. Standard server logs may be kept for security and abuse prevention.
• Google Fonts — the site loads the “Fraunces” and “Inter” fonts from Google’s content delivery network.

Outbound links (for example to eBay, Vinted, Depop or HMRC) leave this site; those services have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep information

Anonymous usage records are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted or aggregated. Because the records contain no identifier, we can’t link them back to an individual.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of personal data we hold about you, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Because we don’t hold information that identifies you, we usually can’t action a subject access request — but if you believe we do hold something about you, email hello@resaletools.co.uk and we’ll investigate.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
