Vinted
0% seller feeVinted doesn't charge sellers a fee. Buyers pay a "Buyer Protection" fee on top of your asking price, so you receive the full amount you listed.
You still pay for postage if you ship it yourself, plus packaging.
eBay UK
Private: £0 · Business: varieseBay UK splits sellers into private and business accounts, and the fee structures are very different.
Private sellers: standard selling is free in most categories — no final value fee and no regulatory operating fee. Exclusions and optional charges do still apply, including vehicles, listing upgrades and some international sales. Always check eBay's own guidance for the current list of excluded categories.
Business sellers: fees depend on the product category and your seller circumstances, so there isn't one percentage that applies to every business seller. Expect a category-based final value fee plus a per-order fixed charge, with additional charges possible for regulatory fees and VAT depending on your setup. In the calculator, either enter your applicable fee percentage and fixed charge manually, or edit the labelled estimate to match your account.
Depop
2.9% + £0.30 payment processingDepop no longer charges a seller fee on standard sales. You pay a payment processing fee of 2.9% + £0.30, calculated on the total the buyer pays — including postage where you're charging for it.
Boosted Listings are optional. When you switch a listing to Boosted and it sells via the boost, Depop's current UK Boosted Listings fee applies on top of payment processing. You can toggle this on in the calculator to see the impact — leave it off for standard listings.
Facebook Marketplace
5% or 40pFor shipped items, Facebook charges 5% of the sale, or a flat 40p on items under £8.
Local pickup sales are fee-free — cash in hand means no cut for Meta.
Vestiaire Collective
~15% commissionVestiaire takes a seller commission of around 15% of your sale price, deducted from your payout. Commission varies by item value and category, so use the calculator's manual override if you know your exact rate.
Payout is released after authentication (for higher-value pieces) or on delivery confirmation.
Etsy
Listing + transaction + processingEtsy charges a 20p listing fee per item, a 6.5% transaction fee on the sale (including postage), plus UK payment processing of roughly 4% + 20p.
Optional Etsy Ads and Offsite Ads add extra when they apply (Offsite Ads is typically 12–15% on orders driven by Etsy's external adverts). VAT can also apply to Etsy's fees depending on your seller status.
Discogs
9% + ~3.6%Discogs takes a 9% seller fee (capped at around £14 per order). PayPal then adds roughly 3.4% + 20p for UK payments.
Great margins on records and CDs — just watch postage costs on heavier orders.
